Capesthorne Hall is situated on the edge of the Peak District national park, close to Alderley Edge, which is shrouded by legends and history. The market towns of Congleton, Macclesfield and Knutsford are only a short distance away, as are local attractions such as Jodrell Bank and Tatton Park.

The Gardens

You are welcome to view the gardens at no extra cost between the hours of 8am until 7pm. Access, however, maybe restricted when weddings or events are taking place.

The Hall

The Hall opens to the general public on Sundays and Mondays, April to October from 1:30pm to 4pm with the last admission at 3:30pm. Admission to the Hall is charge of £3 per adult and £1 for children (5-16 years), payable at the Hall entrance on display of permit.

The Lakeside Coffee Shop

The Lakeside Coffee Shop is open on Sundays and Mondays, April to October 12 noon to 4:30pm – serving light refreshments, homemade cakes and ice creams.

Weddings and Events at Capesthorne

Music noise levels are monitored during events but please note that you may occasionally be able to hear this from the caravan park.

Children

Children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times. Please ensure your children are respectful of other visitors on the site to ensure the enjoyment of the Caravan Park by all.

Visitors
If you are expecting visitors after hours, please respect the other residents on site and within the Capesthorne grounds. Visitors are charged at £4.50 each on non-open days and must be booked and paid for in advance. Visitor arriving on an open day will pay the standard entry fee. Please contact the main office on 01625 861221 to give details and make payment. Visitor cars must be parked on the main car park and not in the Caravan Park.

Barbecues
Only Gas barbecues on a stand are permitted on the site. Fire pits are not permitted.

Fishing

You must be a member of Prince Albert Angling Society to fish on the main lake and the small stock pond (at the site entrance). Pre-booking via the Prince Albert online booking system is required to fish on the main lake but it is not required for the stock pond. You must have your current membership permit and EA rod licence with you at all times and observe the rules of the society. Permits will be checked by the water bailiff.

If you are not a member, fishing is strictly forbidden.

Safety On Site

Fire Point
To activate alarm/warning—located at all fire service points or by sounding the bell outside the office at the caravan facilities block.

Vehicles and Cycles
Motor vehicles and bicycles on site should, at all times, be used with due regard to the safety and convenience of others and their speed should not exceed 5mph. Motorised scooters or skateboards are not permitted on site.

Fire Regulations

Caravans must be backed onto pitches and unhitched as shown in the diagram below. Please do not pitch broadside on.
